The Artist

Ronnie is the owner and artist for BLACK ART PRODUCTION COMPANY. He has distinguished himself as a

truly fine artist with over 30 years in the art field. He developed his art skills while growing up in San Francisco, and

fine tuned them by attending City College of San Francisco. He earned a BA degree in Design and Industry from

San Francisco State University. Ronnie uses real marble as his "canvas". He chooses each piece carefully so that

color and grain of the marble accentuate his finely detailed strokes, thereby bringing out the essence of the subject.

Ronnie has steadily gained acceptance and respect with artists, art lovers, teachers, etc, throughout the Bay Area

and the nation. Ronnie's work always project positive images of the African American experience, past and present.

Ronnie uses his love of art to work with youngsters. He has been mentoring teenagers in the foster care system

for over seven years and taught at a local college preparatory school. Using his own experiences, he shows them

how to get in touch with their creative spirit and to positively express themselves.
